The World's Most Expensive and Most Luxurious Yacht

According to Sunday Telegraph the world's most luxurious and most expensive yacht is being built for mysterious Russian billionaire at the Italian shipyard Fincantieri, one of the world’s largest yacht building groups.

The yacht is called “Hull 6154” and is supposed to be finished in 2010 for record-breaking price of ≈ $227,42 million ≈ €161,12 million£140,00 million.

"Hull 6154" was commissioned through London-based Camper and Nicholsons International, one of the leading brokerage companies on the yachting market. The interiors are being designed by the British-based designer Pascale Reymond.

The world's most expensive yacht will be 438ft/140m long with 60 crew members to service guests in 15 state rooms.

According to Fincantieri, when completed, the world's most expensive yacht will also be the most technically advanced and the most elegant mega-yacht built to date. The yacht will be designed and built according to the rules and regulations of SOLAS, the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, which will give the yacht worldwide leading edge in terms of safety.

Key features will include, among others, two helicopter landing platforms (one with a hangar), storage for a large submarine able to reach a depth of more than 100 metres, a huge internal sea water pool that can be also used for tender docking and 2,700 square metres of luxury interior space designed by Pascale Reymond of Reymond Langton Design, one of the most trend-setting yacht interior designers.
