With the price tag of Bugatti Veyron is officially the most expensive car in the world. It was also the most powerful and fastest street-legal production car with a top speed of 253.81 mph (408.47km/h) until beaten by the SSC Ultimate Aero TT with a highest speed of 257 mph (413 km/h).
The Bugatti Veyron is named after French racing driver Pierre Veyron, winner of the 24 hours of Le Mans, 16th Grand Prix of Endurance, in 1939, while racing for the original Bugatti firm.
