About 1,000 developers, designers, producers and other video game-related professionals worked on the Grand Theft Auto IV for more than three and a half years.

While developing the game Rockstar set up time-lapse cameras on New York rooftops to capture the correct intensity of the rain, and took over 100,000 photographs on location to piece together Liberty City.

Predictions are that the game could possibly gross more than ≈ €283,39 million ≈ £246,24 million$400,00 million in the first week alone, which would also be a record.
